What Is Love is a song in the main series of Just Dance, officially appearing for Just Dance 2017. It is by Haddaway, but it is covered by Ultraclub 90 in the series.
Synopsis[]
What Is Love is a song in Just Dance 2017 and is also featured in Just Dance Now and the Just Dance Unlimited service. It has two dances associated with it: the Classic Version (comprised of a Solo dance done by a male coach) and an alternate "Car Version" (comprised of a Duet dance done by two male coaches). While the dances did not originally have any ratings in the series, the Classic Version was later marked with a Medium difficulty rating and a Low effort rating while the Car Version was later marked with a Medium difficulty rating and a Low effort rating.
In Just Dance 2017, What Is Love's Car Version is locked. To unlock it for the Chinese variant as well as the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Xbox One renditions, a user has to purchase it with 2,000 Mojo Coins. To unlock it for the PlayStation 3, Wii and Xbox 360 renditions, a user has to continuously play the game until it shows up as the seventh alternate revealed. Additionally, What Is Love has a mashup of duets, though it is not included in the Chinese variant as well as the PlayStation 3 and Xbox 360 renditions, streamed as a free item through the Unlimited service in the Nintendo Switch, PC, PlayStation 4, Wii U, and Xbox One renditions, and is locked by a 20 Mojo Coins price point in the Wii rendition.
Setting[]
The classic dance takes place in one of two locations that swap between one another. The first is a room with a big television screen, two "statues" of women with disco balls, (Although they are not seen at one point when the coach returns to this area. Two women appear instead, trying to take photos with the coach using their phones.) and speakers. The second is a mythical world taking place in the sky with clouds, ancient buildings and women. Another area can be seen within the world that holds a light show and two women playing keytars. Aside from the two, the majority of the rest of the women are seen holding a disco ball in their hands.
The Car version takes place inside a mobile vehicle that is first roaming through a neighborhood and then into a city. At two points of the performance, the vehicle is at a halt.

The name is based off the term of the samee name, "Icebreaker", used to describe people who meet for the first time. Bold Gold Text indicates that Gold Move(s) occur during that part of the mashup.
